The irony of Charlie….

Not Brown. Drew, Charles Drew. He was an athlete. He was a scholar. He was a pioneer that revolutionized modern medicine. While making medical history, he was still fighting racism and discrimination. A medical researcher he found ways to store blood for transfusions, which was critical for soldiers. He was the first African American to serve as an examiner on the American Board of Surgery. I say this as not a badge of honor, per se, because I am sure there were some qualified but they were not allowed to hold this position. But, I do give a lot of respect for breaking down the door that pushed down by many othes previously.

Sadly, he died in a car crash where he suffered from major blood loss. Some debate that he was refused entrance into a White hospital, other sources state he received good care, it was just too much blood lost. It is ironic a medicine man was lost; and medicine could not fix him.

Charles Drew was a young man when he past, oh what we lose from premature deaths. Oh, what we got from him maximizing his four plus decades. People die in car accidents all the time. That is tragic, but it is doubly tragic to lose talent to senseless deaths.

Bottom Line: Follow the blueprint of Charles. He drew it up, in blood. Yes, it is that serious.
