The Prayer of Jabez comes from the Bible. In 1 Chronicles 4:10, we read: “And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that Thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that Thine hand might be with me, and that Thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.”

Prayer changes things. I was always taught to pray in this manner:
1) Pay respect and reverence to the deity before you ask for anything
2) Thnak the diety for all that has been done already
3) Pray for forgiveness and strength to become a better person
4) Pray for others
5) Then pray for self
A selfish prayer is one that is only filled with wants and “gimmmee’s” from the one who prays. We honor and respect people who sacrifice their money, lives and freedom to help others. A true warrior, not only fights his battle, but the battle of the oppressed and vulnerable.
Bottom Line: Pray for the moon…. just pray for many moons, so others can also enjoy in the bliss.
