2 Deaths

A man bams on the door and rushes into the room and yelled at his bride “I thought you told me your mother was dead!” The lady and looked and said she is dead though she lives. The confused man gestured to her to explain this enigma. She stated her mother had long died emotionally before her actual physical passing. Thomas Jefferson stated that if the Missouri Compromise was signed that it would be a death notice to the Union. In his wisdom, Jefferson understood this was not the end but the beginning of the end. The comedian Chris Rock stated that in a relationship that ends prematurely, one cannot count the actual years, but instead to divide that number by two because that is when the real relationship ended. So if the relationship was for 6 years, it ended 3 years before the breakup.

In life, some things die before they really die. Be smart, if you are on a dead horse… get off it aint coming back to life. Do not be dragged down by the extra weight and burden. Death is a harsh reality no one likes to see. BUt just as weird as it would be to see someone walking around town with a dead person, so is it to see someone in a dead-end position. If you can recognize it, free yourself and die only once.

The living dead is a sad and scary sight. Do not becopme the person who you said you do not want to become. This is not an exhaustive list, but this is ways know you are the living dead:

1. Expreience Anhedonia. That is psychological jargon for things that use to be fun are not as fun anymore.
2. Want to be Dead (literally).
3. Excessive Crying.
4. Isolation from loved ones
5. Decline in schoolwork / employment
6. Extremely Irritable
7. Do things completely out of character
8. Physically disheveled
9. HyperSensitive
10. Looking for Ways to Avoid People, Situations
11. WIld and Out of Control
12. You have Stopped taking advantage of the Resources around you
13. Nothing seems to Matter

Bottom Line: We all die a little when we lose someone. We all die a little when we have to move on (e.g., new job, graduation). We all die a little when we fail to go after our dreams. Many of us are doing more dying than living while we are alive. Drop the dead weight and live. And when you face the one inevitable death, die smiling!!!!
