Deep within your Soul
When you look deep into your heart, what do you see?
Do you run away during times of adversity?
Champions are discovered by how they deal with adversity.
It is the bottom of the ninth with two outs and your team is down by one.
Do you want to be the batter? Your team is trailing with three seconds left.
Do you want to take that shot?
Most athletes will tell you the above scenarios are not pressure.
Make or miss, there is a next game, there is a next season. There is a tomorrow.
But what about when these scenarios are more serious and have heavier consequences.
What happens when you lose a dear love one? When you are fired from your job?
When you are jilted by a lover. When you are betrayed by a buddy? When your
child disappoints you? When you feel deserted by your deity?
Where do you reach when there is nothing left to reach for?
How do you write a feelings check from an empty emotional account?
The answer is easy. Belief in your ability to overcome this sitation. Regardless how dark the day. No matter how bleak it may appear, just believe. After you believe, now you must act. Mentally envision you getting yourself out of the situation. You are Michael Angelo. You are now painting your own masterpiece. You are Shakespeare writing your own solution. See it until it becomes real. This is no magic, but it is the power of positive thinking that will give you the initial momentum to get started.
Now look at your sitation. Evaluate how you got into this sitution. Do the reverse to get out. If this does not work, keep creating plans until you get it right. He who never quits, eventually wins. And, you can go on as long as you believe you can go on. Recognize there is nothing that is impossible to overcome. Somebody was the first to do the seemingly impossible. If you are in a situation that people say is impossible, become the first to give others faith.
For those situations that cannot be won. Learn from them and never let the memory of this lesson (not loss) far from you. What does not kill you can only make you stronger. The more hurt, the deeper the resolve within our soul.
Bottom Line: It is within you to do. Search the depths of your soul and your actions will even surprise you. You are a champion. Go surprise yourself!
