So Now you Know
What is done in the dark will come to the light… eventually. So, what happens when things happen naturally and we are given information that is life shattering? life changing? life ending? I am not the biggest fan of Friedrich Nietzsche, but I do quote his famous saying often, “that which does not kill us makes us stronger.” This is so true.
Okay, so now you know. Yeah it stings. It hurts. It makes you want to cry, run and into a corner and just die. This is an option, but not the best choice. These times are what seperates the champions from the non-champions. We all are knocked down from time to time. We all are presented with earthquaking realities that will shape us significantly for the better or the worse. What are you going to do?
What you are going to do is face it head on! You will pause for a second and respect the present pain. But then you will put on your hat of optimisim and envision how you will overcome this speedbump successfully. Then you will make the dream manifest into reality.
There is nothing new under the sun. Somebody else has lost their mother. Somebody else has had a miscarriage. Somebody else has flunked out of school. Somebody else has been under the heavy hand of domestic abuse. Somebody else has been fired. Somebody else has lost a spouse. Somebody else has had to file bankruptcy. Somebody else has been told they have AIDS. Somebody else has had to raise five children alone. Somebody else has been let down by a preacher. Somebody else has (yeah that too). Whatever you have gone through, someone else has gone through that very same thing, and some even worse. Some survived, some did not.
The “X” factor is the belief, confidence, and determination of the individual. You have the ability to will yourself to the destination and outcome you want. That is why self-confidence is key. My personal mantra is “I am an unconquerable champion!” Nothing will defeatme, but death. Ironically, in death I win because I attain the greatest victory, if you understand. Self-confidence does not mean that one has to have an unrealistic attitude. Self-confidence does not mean you have a lion dinosaur size ego. Self-confidence does not mean you do not have some insecurities. Self-confidence is the knowlege and faith to know you will succeed despite of your personal flaws and weaknesses.
So now you know… You know it can happen to you. You know it will happen to you sooner or later. Are you prepared? How will you act and respond? Just remember, Job recovered after losing his property, his family, and his health. IT was not easy, but he perservered.
Bottom Line: So now you know. The key is perserverance. Bad times do not last always. Patience during the difficult times. Bad times do not last always. The sun will come out tomorrow. Joy comes in the morning. Sounds like a bunch of cliches, but they ring so true. I will leave you with the words of Antwone Fisher. “I’m still standing. It don’t matter what you tried to do, you couldn’t break me, I’m still standing.”
Keep Standing
