You Cannot Run From You

A lot of times people will switch careers, switch homes, switch cities or states, switch lovers, switch sexual orientation, switch religions, switch anything; all in the name of change and a fresh start. This is not always a bad thing if the switch is rational. However, no matter if the switch is rational or irrational, the one thing you cannot run from is you. You will be the common denominator no matter what you switch, no matter where you go.

If you are a person in a constant state of change, the answer may lie within you. If you have a foul attitude no matter where you go, you are destined for failure. The I CHING states “in the hands of an inferior person even the finest plan comes to naught.” Some people have the Midas touch in reverse. If this is the case for you, there is one final switch that must take place. That is a switch that occurs from within. Switch your attitude, your disposition, your outlook, your behavior, your speech, your thinking.

Bottom Line: No matter where you go, how fast you run, how far you run; you cannot run from you. Your shadow will be there as quick as you can turn around. Hint: If you are always complaining about every job, every relationship, every little thing. Remember, the one common denominator in every situation is YOU!! To solve this equation, stop running from the truth, see the flaws and fix the flaws. Now, you can retire your Nikes, because there is no need for the running shoes anymore.
