Plan B
It is important in life that we set goals. It is a wonderful feeling when that goal is met. The reason why we are generally so excited is twofold: (a) that the goal has been accomplished; and (b) the way the goal was accomplished. Very few times in life does everything happen the way we plan it exactly. If we are unable to be flexible and shift on the fly our success rate will decrease significantly.
Often times in life, people get stuck because their original plan did not go through the way they imagined and they thought the game was over. The game is not over, it is just the beginning of the new chapter; as long as you remember, you are the author of the book of your life.
We all suffer setbacks in the forms of divorce, death, drugs, depression, dreams, and debt. However, if we have a plan b (and c, d, e,f, and…) we understand that setbacks are temporary and not permanent. In fact, they only become permanent when we stop trying.
Bottom Line: When you set your original goal, set your plan; but, understand that hurdles will come. Have a contingency plan for all possible road blocks that you can foresee and know that some other surprises are still coming. Remember the mission is to complete the goal, how we get there in the end is reallly insignificant.
