See your friends, See yourself
As iron sharpens iron,so a friend sharpens a friend. Proverbs 27:17 http://bibleresources.bible.com/keywordsearchresults.php?multiplemethod=all&numpageresults=25&select=searchBible&keyword=Iron+sharpens&version=51
“You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.” ~Jim Rohn
The axiom is true, association brings on assimilation. These sayings are something that should make us reconsider our inner circle. Ask yourself, the people around you… Are they making me better or pulling me down? The beautiful thing about life is it that we are all blessed with different gifts and talent. Ideally, you want people in your inner circle that you can stretch and that can stretch you.
Bottom Line: If you want to get a clear idea of who you are, look at the five closest people to you as Rohn suggested. If you are not where you want to be in life, revisit your circle. And, remember, everybody has gifts and talents. We can learn something from everyone. Just make sure you are getting the iron and not the rust (which we all have also). When I meet people, I look for their iron side. My top five includes people who I strengthen and who strengthens me.
